United States Of America : Nike Wins Controversial Battle

US sporting giant Nike has won a controversial court order. Spanish company Cidesport has been prevented from manufacturing and exporting clothing from the mainland using the Nike name. Cidesport owns the right to use the Nike name in Spain, and had been planning to sell goods made in China solely in that country. However, the court ruled that just manufacturing the goods in China had breached Nike's China-registered trademark.
