Jordan : Textile Sales Raises Export Figures

According to the sources, at AI Hassan Industrial Estate, textile sales kept bringing up the overall export figures.

In August, textiles brought in about $29.2 million in exports, by far the largest percentage of sales at the estate where total exports topped $30.7 million last month.

Textiles is one of the biggest exports from the Kingdom. Due to an agreement between Jordan, Israel and the United States signed a few years ago, products made by companies in Qualified Industrial Zones (QIZS) can be shipped quota and tariff free to the US as long as a certain percentage of the product is made in Israel. This agreement leads the sector’s success.
