Validity Period Of Endorsements For Shipment Under FCFS Revised

Endorsements for shipping under First Come First Served (FCFS) system restricted to 7 days by ministry of textile according to a circular issued on 13th October by Apparel Export Promotion Council India (AEPC).

The circular says, “the ministry of textiles has decided to restrict the endorsements for shipment of fast moving categories under FCFS system to 7 days within the overall available period of 75 days. This will be applicable for the sensitive categories i.e. EU – 4, 5, 6, 7, 8; US 338 / 339, 340 / 640, 341 (Y & O), 347 / 348, 351 / 651, US Group – II & Canada – 9 w.e.f. 20th October, 2003 upto 31st December, 2003.

“The above scheme has been proposed by the Government to enable close monitoring of the quota utilisation in these fast moving categories to avoid any risk of embargo.
