Chic 2004 To Be Held In Beijing |

CHIC2004 (China International Clothing and Accessories Fair) will be held in two parts in Beijing International Exhibition Center. One part will be held from March 30 to April 1, 2004, and the other will be held fromApril 5 to 7, 2004. The preparation has started.
Mr. Jiang Hengjie, president of China National Garment Association (CNGA), said that China''s clothing industry has gained rapid development. The acreage of former CHIC cannot satisfy the enterprises'' exhibition demand, which caused many famous brands lost the participating opportunity. Therefore, the organizer decided to divide CHIC2004 into two parts.
The first part will exhibit men''s ware and casual wear, and the second part will exhibit women''s wear and kids'' ware. Total acreage of two parts will reach 100,000 square meters.
Each part has been shortened to three days, which will reduce
enterprises'' pressure and increase exhibition efficiency. The three-day interval between two parts will hold some activities,which will avoid the time conflicts between exhibition and activities.
CHIC co-sponsored by CNGA and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT has attracted about 900 clothing manufacturers each year. Exhibition zone of Italy will be further extended. France and Spain will dispatch delegations for first time, and Hong Kong will also participate.
