Market research-key for successful selling of stronger micron wool |

Research needs to be conducted on selling wool of stronger micron, according to a leading specialist wool garment
manufacturer.
Robert Morris of Melbourne-based Berkeley Apparel says there''s a desperate need for innovation in fabric development and the way clothes are made for stronger wools to remain sustainable.
Morris informed farmers at the annual Victorian Farmers Federation conference that premium quality wools did not require any ‘selling’ as it could be sold on its own.
"The fine microns, 19 and downwards, are extraordinarily well positioned because they''re going into the higher end of the market, where there are essentially very limited, if any, substitutes to wool.
"The consumer''s been conditioned to the fact that that grade of wool does represent luxury, does represent value, and it can carry a high price tag, and it''s very well suited to designer clothing," he added. |
