Germany : Puma teams up to launch watches in Europe and Asia |

Puma AG, the German sporting goods group, has teamed up with Hong Kong-based leather goods specialist EganaGoldpfeil for the launch of Puma watches in Europe and Asia.
The Herzogenaurach-based company informed it has signed a multi-year agreement with EganaGoldpfeil for the production and distribution of Puma branded watches in Europe and Asia.
Currently, Puma watches are available in the US, where the company cooperates with an unnamed US eyewear company. The collection for men and women will start retailing in the selected countries in Europe and Asia with the autumn/winter 2005 season.
Puma''s Chief Executive Officer, Jochen Zeitz said, "The licensing contract with our new partner is another step towards continuing to fulfill Puma''s strategy of exploiting the potential of the brand by seeking new fields of business that lie outside of our core operations."
The company also conveyed it will open 50 or 60 so-called concept stores worldwide by 2006. There are presently 36 Puma concept stores. |
