Pakistan : Post WTO - ''''win-win situation for all''''

According to the Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan, the country’s agricultural production would be totally protected. He was speaking at a function while answering questions on WTO and anti-dumping related issues. He said that textiles, electronics, footwear, sports goods, surgical instruments, seafood and leather garments would create a win-win situation for all within the country. Regarding flooding of foreign goods in the domestic markets, he stated that the affected industries had been asked to file complaints for initiating anti-dumping and counter veiling duties, but they had not responded so far. While talking about buyer-driven FDI strategy, the minister said that top leadership of Pakistan had been requested to meet and invite chiefs of large companies to Pakistan in selected areas during their visits to foreign countries.
