Iran : Carpet export from Markazi Province up by 15% |

 Markazi Province has reported 15% rise in export of hand-woven carpets for the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year, reaching $100,000 compared to the figure for the corresponding period last year.
Managing director of Markazi Province Carpet Co., Shahabpur told reporters Wednesday that during the period, 1,470 Iranian carpet-weavers have woven 960 square meters of carpet, 70 percent of which has been exported.
Production of carpet in the first four months registered an eight percent increase compared to the previous year’s production, Shahabpur further noted. |
