Bangladesh : Dhaka to host international apparel machinery show |

A three-day international exhibition on textiles and garments machinery begins on August 22 at Dhaka Sheraton Hotel.
This was disclosed at a press conference Wednesday by Conference & Exhibition Management Services Limited (CEMS), the organiser of the exhibition.
According to CEMS Director Shahid S Sarwar, about 30 countries are expected to participate in the exhibition. Pointing to the post-multi-fibre arrangement (MFA), he observed that Bangladesh was on the threshold of a difficult and competitive world relating to garment and textile sectors.
He said the latest machinery and technologies for both the garment and textile manufacturers would be put on display at the coming exhibition. Commerce Minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury will inaugurate the TEXTECH, Sarwar said.
Apart from Bangladesh, other countries including the USA, China, Germany, the UK, Japan, Korea, Italy, Belgium, Singapore, Spain, Turkey, Taiwan and India would participate in the show, he said. |
