Int Textile Fair From March 20

Preview In Daegu (PID), an international textile fair featuring next year's spring and summer fashion trends, will open March 20 with the participation of 208 manufacturers of textile products and 1,107 buyers from home and abroad, the PID organizing committee said yesterday.

It added that about 26 foreign manufacturers from six countries and 182 domestic manufacturers have so far registered for participation in the biannual three-day textile fair and 478 booths will be set up for participants at the Daegu Exhibition Convention Center.

The total number of participating foreign buyers is expected to exceed 1,200 this year as 675 have already registered their participation with the organizing committee.

The committee also said it plans to have several related events, including a ``Buyers Show’’ presenting 178 pieces of clothing made by eight designers with material provided by 41 manufacturing firms.
