Twenty year-old Hotex Garment Factory is reportedly on the verge of closing. Located at the Vieux Fort industrial estate, this factory had some of the workers believe of its inevitable closure and wanted to collect their benefits.
The closure of the Hotex factory follows similar closures by assembly and manufacturing concerns, as the economic impact will be felt immediately as the workers who no longer have gainful employment, struggle to make ends meet. |
