Bangladesh:$0.82m jt venture interlining factory to be set up in DEPZ

A Sino-Bangla venture is in the offing, to jointly set up an interlining manufacturing industry in the Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ). An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and the OTL-Doublegull Manufacturing Co. Ltd. on Sunday last. BEPZA General Manager (Investment Promotion) AZM Azizur Rahman and OTL-Doublegull Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Managing Director Sabrina Islam signed the lease agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. The joint venture company named M/s OTL-Doublegull Manufacturing Company Limited will invest about $0.82 million (8.20 lakh) and produce 28 million metres of woven and non-woven interlining. About 102 Bangladeshi and five foreign nationals would be provided gainful employment.
