Turkey:Bursa textiles exports reaches almost $1Bn in 9 months |

Bursa, today is one of the most important centers of textile and ready made garment industry in Turkey. In the past nine months it has exported textile goods valued at US$979,494,000 which is up from $842,544,000 last year.
Sales of ready made garments during the first nine months of 2004 for Bursa saw an increase of 4.4 per cent while textiles sales rose 28.7 per cent.
As per the figures released by the Uludað Exporters Union (UÝB), the total ready made garment sector exports in September 2004 reached an impressive figure of $49,345,000 recoding $44,751,000 Dollars in September, last year.
Sales volume of the textile sector in Bursa reached $65,528,000 in September 2004 as against $49,786,000 in the textiles area, in 2003.
The ready made garment sector exported goods to 7 free trade regions and 92 countries, while the textile sector reached 11 free trade regions and 102 countries. |
