IWTO has launched now an Interior Textiles Committee that has had its first session during the Wool Forum in Shanghai, next to the traditional focus on apparel. Chairman of the new Committee is Nick Nicholson from New Zealand.
Within the activities of the Interior Textiles Committee IWTO is covering the sectors of carpets, upholstery, bedding, hand knitting as well as fabrics for automotives, aeroplanes etc. During the session in Shanghai it has been decided to execute a worldwide market research for all these categories to position the future direction of the sector.
The market research will find out and provide recommendations on the present and future situation of the Interior Textiles Sector.
