USA:Eastman to hike specialty plastics prices in Feb. 2005 |

Kingsport, Tennessee based Eastman Chemical Company is raising the global price of its specialty polyesters and copolyesters by US$ 0.09/lb ($US 0.20/kg) effective February 1, 2005. Rising production costs, particularly in raw materials, energy and freight are being reasoned for the increase.
Eastman Chemical Company manufactures and markets chemicals, fibers and plastics worldwide. The company employs approximately 12,000 people and had 2003 sales of US$5.8 billion. |
