According to Customs of the United States, in Jan. 2003 America imported textile and garment from China valued at US$8.744 billion, up by 58.41% year on year, taking up 15.40% of total American textile and garment import.

Garment imported from China was US$651 million dollars, up by 53.51% year on year.

Textiles imported from China were US$344 million dollars, up by 68.58% year on year.
