HGA''''s Convergence 2006 Grand Rapids will be held at DeVos Place Convention Center, June 25-July 1, 2006. Convergence is organized and sponsored by the Handweavers Guild of America, Inc.

As hosts, the Michigan League of Handweavers is pleased to welcome you to our beautiful city and state. The second largest city in Michigan, Grand Rapids offers a variety of historical, recreational and educational opportunities. The friendly spirit of the community, combined with a number of exciting attractions such as the Van Andel Museum, the Gerald R. Ford Museum and the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculptural Park, makes Grand Rapids an ideal site for Convergence 2006.

The Grand Convergence: Fiber Inspirations theme highlights the wonderful textile traditions of Michigan''''s long history of many fiber guilds and offers the opportunity to look toward future trends and innovations. Convergence 2006 will feature workshops, lectures, seminars, special events, juried and non-juried exhibits, and a first-class fashion show.

Ford International Airport, a primary air transportation facility served by twelve carriers. The airport is only ten to fifteen minutes away from downtown.
