Jan.-Feb. Zhejiang Silk Output and Export Increase by 10% year on year

According to Zhejiang Statistics Bureau and Zhejiang Silk Association, in Jan.-Feb. 2003 both silk output and export increased by 10% year on year.

The silk output in the first two months was 5378.04 tons, up by 17.37% year on year, and silk textiles output was 899,088,900 meters, up by 18.15%, and printing and dyeing silk textiles output was 140,213,000 meters, up by 11.45% year on year.

The export increases constantly. In Jan.-Feb. silk export reached US$69.503 million dollars, up by 17.54% year on year. Export volume of Silk companies with export right was US$144,390,100 dollars, up by 20.24%. (C13)
