China:Construction at Invista’s new Foshan spandex plant begin |

A $100 million plus and tenth spandex plant of Invista is coming up in Foshan, Guangdong, China. The construction which began as the first phase is scheduled for completion in October 2006.
The new plant will have a capacity of 12,000 tons a year in the first phase, but an expansion could double this figure in subsequent phases.
Apart from Foshan spandex plant to serve southern China markets, Invista already has spandex plants in Jiangsu Province and in Shanghai serving eastern China.
Guangdong area has seen a quantum jump in demand for spandex yarn than any other part of China, hence this plant is expected fulfill the shortfall. |
