Successful brick-and-mortar retailer, Goody''''s Family Clothing Inc. is launching a consumer e-commerce site to offer its assortment of value-priced apparel to customers around the world.
The addition of the online store, as well as a new order by telephone option, now provides customers three convenient ways to shop Goody''''s. "Opening an e-commerce site has been one of Goody''''s priorities for some time," said Chairman and CEO, Bob Goodfriend. "We''''ve received many requests for online shopping as people have continually looked for ways to make their shopping a little easier.
We''''re delighted to offer this convenience to our customers and know they will experience the same level of service we provide at our retail stores."
Goody''''s private label brands will represent a large portion of the online assortment, but major national brands including Dockers, Levi''''s, Union Bay, JNCO, Adidas, Russell, and Revlon will also be available.
"The strength of our new online store allows us to offer an assortment of readily-available merchandise to a wider customer base," said Goodfriend.
"Now even customers outside of our current markets can purchase name-brand and private-label merchandise, including well-known labels exclusive to Goody''''s such as Duck Head, Pierre Cardin, and Hawaiian Tropic."
Customers visiting Goodysonline.com can also take advantage of brick-and-mortar sales promotions and events. Through an easy to browse interface, shoppers can locate featured sale items on the home page and on each department page. Print advertisements will also include a special icon indicating whether a featured item is available online and by phone. A search tool facilitates locating specific items by name, and searching by catalog code, price point, and size will be added this summer. Shoppers can also browse by department or by brands.
"We''''ve taken out the fluff and concentrated on providing an easy-to-navigate site while keeping customers'''' busy schedules in mind," explained Brett Trent, vice president of e-commerce. "There are no games or useless clutter-just a straightforward, convenient online shopping experience that allows customers to find and purchase items as easily as they can when shopping in our stores."
Based in Knoxville, Tenn., Goody''''s is a retailer of moderately priced family apparel. The company currently operates 357 stores in the 20 states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. |
