The Fabric Development Knitting Laboratory is a well-equipped research facility capable of producing a wide range of knit products. Ready-to-wear knit garments are made on the full-fashioned, flat-knitting, multi-gauge (7/14) knit and wear machine. Plain and jacquard fabrics are produced on double knit machines in 18, 24, and 28 gauge, which have mini, full, and electronic jacquard capabilities. Single knit machines in 8, 10, 18, 22, 24, and 28 gauge - equipped with mini and electronic jacquard, spandex, feeders, and automatic stripers - complete this state-of-the-art facility.
Woven apparel, home products, and carpets are processed in a production facility under our direction and supervision. Whereas artwork, layouts, and drafts are developed in-house with state-of-the-art design systems.
As part of its ongoing effort to create new fabric ideas for apparel and home products, the Fabric Development department develops, on an annual basis, 100% cotton and cotton-rich fabrications, which are presented worldwide. These FABRICAST? collections consist of apparel knit, apparel woven, and home products, including rugs. The Fabric Library consists of 4,500 previous FABRICAST?developments to assist the industry with new directions.
