Pierre Bave, assistant to the president of the International Association of Exchanges between France and China, said in Xi'an on Apr.6 that he intends to open a chain of "Pierre" brand clothing stores in the country.
He made the remarks at the on-going Seventh Investment and Trade Fair for Cooperation between eastern and western China "China is growing fast. One year of expansion in China is equivalent to five years in France," Pierre Bave said in an interview with Xinhua.
He is working towards the goal of purchasing two Chinese garment factories to process his brand of clothing, while selling garments imported from France.
He intends to target the market for ladies aged between 18 and 25, because he thinks they are romantic, open-minded and full of vigor.
Investment in China is highly profitable, he said, adding that many of his friends wish to enter the clothing market in China.
