USA:Home textile & terry towel imports rise in April |

According to the preliminary data, the home textiles imports retained the rapid speed of growth for the month of April, for the four months of current year the cotton sheet imports climbs by 78.1 per cent and cotton terry towel imports up by 27.5 per cent for the same period.
Preliminary data for the month of May depicts that the cotton sheets imported from Pakistan climbs 427.6 per cent and from China climbs 256.1 per cent.
Sheet imported from India scale up 55.6 per cent, however imports from Turkey declines by 17.8 per cent.
The data shows imports of cotton terry towels from China up by 185.8 per cent, Pakistan up by 141.7 per cent and Turkey up 22.9 per cent. Towel imports from India climb only 10.1 per cent, while Brazil down by 3.3 per cent. |
