Apr 10, 2003 (The Asian Wall Street Journal - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Taiwan's Ministry of Finance has announced a solid growth in exports and imports in March 2003. Exports rose to $US12.62 billion, a rise of 10.2 per cent when compared with March 2002 and 28 per cent when compared with February 2003. Exports of electronics were particularly strong and rose 19.7 per cent from a year earlier. Imports increased to $US10.91 billion, or 7.4 per cent from a year earlier and 30 per cent from February 2003. The country's trade surplus rose from $US1.42 billion in February 2003 to $US1.7 billion in March 2003.
