UK:Web Consulting to partake at Digital Textile 2005, Berlin

2005-8-9

Abingdon based technical and marketing firm Web Consulting is going to participate at Digital Textile 2005 in September.

Digital Textile 2005 - Early Bird Booking extended to 29th July.

The sixth European conference on digital textile printing and pre-press, Digital Textile 2005, will be held at the new Radisson SAS Hotel in Berlin, Germany from 8-10 September 2005. The Conference follows on from earlier well-attended events in Manchester, Como, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Istanbul.

“The Conference is widely renowned because we attract a variety of delegates from all over the world, ” reports Stewart Partridge of Web. “The audience includes technology end-users such as textile printers, flag printers, designers and banner printers, plus a sizeable group of key manufacturers and suppliers of printing solutions, ink, software and textile media.

Naturally, a good and impartial seminar programme is essential, but attendees tend to value the industry networking opportunities just as strongly.” Digital Textile 2005 uses the successful format of earlier events, with a single-day Study Tour to textile printers on Thursday 8th September, followed by a two-day Seminar on Friday and Saturday, covering the latest technologies and market developments.

“As with many developed countries, in recent years the German textile industry has suffered under severe price pressure from developing markets,” states Chris Byrne, Web Consulting’s Managing Consultant for Textile Printing.”

“However, there are still creative textile printers in Germany and Western Europe who are looking to new technology to open up growth and new market opportunities, and in addition a wealth of expanding textile sites in Eastern Europe.” Whilst the digital printing of textiles accounts for under 1% of all textile printing, Web Consulting believes that the volume of fabric printed by inkjet has almost doubled during the last 12 months, and is beginning a significant growth phase.”

According to Events Director Julie Hyde “Berlin is at the crossroads of Europe, the link between East and West. We expect to attract many delegates from Eastern Europe, in addition to the normal strong support we receive from Europe, USA and the Asia Pacific region.” She believes that the new Radisson SAS Hotel in Berlin is an “outstanding” venue for the Conference, for its facilities and siting in this historic city. “Delegates at our Istanbul Conference voted for Berlin for the next event, and we felt it was a good choice.”

Web Consulting is presently talking to speakers and sponsors, and welcome contact from companies wishing to participate. They will be announcing the full programme for Digital Textile 2005 when availabler.
