SHANGHAI, Apr 10, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Recently the Third China International Coloring Matter Industry Exhibition raised its curtain in Intex Shanghai. News from the exhibition said that last year, China imported printing and dyeing fabric in USD 3.274 billion, down 6.4% in 2001. While the export reached USD 4.04 billion, up 28.58% up 2001. For the first time, China's exports in printing and dyeing fabric exceed the imports.
The favorable balance in fabric trade shows that China's dyeing and printing industry has made progress in product development and innovation. However the average unit prices of China's export products are only 0.75 time as much as those of the import prices.
