Belgium:EU member states discuss unblocking of Chinese textiles |

After having reached an agreement over unblocking of Chinese pullovers and other textiles, the European Union Parliament is meeting today to give the final ''go-ahead.''
Yesterday, the EU Trade Chief Peter Mandelson and Chinese Commerce Minister Bo Xilai arrived at a negotiated settlement after marathon meetings over the stalled consigments of Chinese clothing that have been held up at European ports severely affecting retailers in the region.
All 25 member states have to give their consent to let go the embargoed Chinese consignments that have been in the news for more than a fortnight, now.
The consignments have been held up under the charge that Chinese have exceeded the limits agreed as per the June 12 agreement over the imports of those categories of textiles and garments consisting pullovers and other clothings.
