UCMTF (French Association of Textile Machinery Manufacturers) led a French pavilion to take part in Textile Expo 2005 held between September 6 to 8 in Tashkent of Uzbekistan in Central Asia.
Companies within the pavilion were N. Schlumberger, Asselin-Thibeau, Laroche, Fil Control, Superba and Staubli.
Within the Expo, UCMTF organized a workshop which was attended by more than 100 industrialists. On the last day of the show, it organized a seminar at the Tashkent Textile Institute with more than 400 participants.
Uzbekistan has a long history in textile production and is a leading exporter of cotton worldwide. Half of national cotton output is processed within the country.
