US and Colombia have decided to charge zero tariffs to each other's imports of textiles and cotton, Colombian officials informed.
The decision was taken to sign an overall free trade deal between the two countries, as bilateral negotiations on the matter are going on between the officials from both sides in Washington.
The agreement would be a "two-way" opening up and offer new opportunities of sustained development for Colombia's farming and stock raising, said officials from agriculture ministry of Colombia.
Ecuador and Peru are also negotiating with the United States on bilateral free trade agreements.
