Yiwu H & G 2005 Concluded with Resounding Applause

The 6th Yiwu International Exhibition on Hosiery & Garment Industries (Yiwu H & G 2005) closed with great applause on Nov. 4, 2005 at the China Commodity City Exhibition Centre, Yiwu, Zhejiang, PR China.

With the enthusiastic support of both local & foreign exhibitiors, Yiwu H & G has been providing the best performing stage for knitting & garment machineries suppliers to display their advanced technology. This year, over 60% of the exhibitors are from abroad, some of them are new–comers of the show. Among them are Corghi, Giudici, H. Stoll, Loris Bellini, Metronix, Kenshing, Twistex, Rubberthread Industries,Taiwan Tai Ho Shing, Tecma, Tonello, etc. Special highlight of the show target to a group of Italian companies who are showcasing advanced hosiery & seamless technology.

 

In the 3-day show, there are ample tailor-made fancy booth designs with diversified promotion methods in the fairground. Serious discussion can be seen everywhere. In this edition, 4,000 specialized visitors are attracted to the exhibition hall, overseas visitors accounts for 6% and decision makers amounted to 48%. The importance of the show is once again recognized.

 

From analysis of past participation, exhibitors & visitors alike have seen Yiwu H & G as a "must see" show for the development of their company. In 2004, Yiwu realized a gross industrial production value of 49.25 billion RMB. The transaction value of the market amounted to 32.49 billion RMB. In recent years, Yiwu has imported lots of advanced machinery, among them there are 30,000 hosiery knitting machineries & 2,000 computerized jacquard machineries.

In front of the booth of Shanghai Donghua Hytech, the new fibre materials has pulled in groups of overseas visitors. Ms Wang, the development manager of the company, who can speak fluent English, can hardly take a break. He said to the reporter: "Apart from maintaining good relationship with old customers, I have met lots of new customers. The busiest I get, the more happy I feel."

 

Concurrently, the organizer co-organizes with knittingweb.com to hold a forum named "Trends of the Socks Industry". Local specialists are invited to deliver their speech. They are: Ms Chen Guo Fen, Professor of Zhejiang Vocational and Technical Institute of Light-Textile; Mr. Zhang Jin Da, Mr. Shi Ji Gang, Senior Engineer of Zhejiang NaiEr Sock Co., Ltd. They have discussed about trend of socks consumption & application of new materials & new technology. The speech has aroused lots of support & the audiences have been busy taking notes. There is no chatting or napping scene at the meeting room. 

 

Apart from making a macro-analysis on hosiery trends, real products of fibre & yarn are also displayed in the forum. Zhejiang Ningbo Chang San Jiao Syntheticl Fibre Co., Ltd., Shangyu Hongqiang Coloured Polyester Fibre, Shanghai Donghua Hytech Textile Co., Ltd. have shown their own products which have grouped interested buyers to gather before and after the forum.

 

The forum is attended by a hundred audiences from the knitting field. They know about the forum through the organizer or by direct invitation. They stated that the topic of the forum is very interesting & find it worthwhile to attend. They think they have learned a lot & hope the organizer will continue to host such forum to help the development of the hosiery & socks industry.

 

The success of the forum awakened local industry to be prepared for future critical competition they will encounter.
