Germany : ITMA 2007 in Munich: international meeting point for the textile machinery industry

CEMATEX – the European Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association and owner of ITMA – has unanimously accepted the application by the VDMA German Engineering Federation for Munich to be the venue of the ITMA International Exhibition of Textile Machinery in the year 2007. Far and away the most important and significant textile machinery exhibition in the world, ITMA will be presenting an even more detailed range of products in Munich in 2007. Munich has one of the world's most modern trade fair centres. Situated at the heart of Europe, the city is easy to reach by air, road and rail and will attract a multitude of exhibitors and visitors from all over the world.

A universally popular destination in Southern Germany, Munich not only meets modern international standards with its exhibition centre: it is a metropolis which combines modernity, professionalism and hospitality with a charming original character. The organiser Messe München is delighted to have ITMA as its guest in Munich on 13 - 20 September 2007 and is making around 180,000 square metres of gross exhibition space available at its attractive trade fair centre. As the organiser of numerous major fairs in the capital goods area including bauma – the leading international machinery exhibition for construction, building materials and mining – Messe München has many years of experience in the planning and organising of international trade fairs with outstanding exhibits and sophisticated trade fair logistics. With its 17 ultra-modern exhibition halls of which 16 columme free and directly accessible to vehicles for setting up and dismantling, and with its state-of-the-art technical infrastructure and the uniform high quality of its exhibition areas which have a permissible floor load of 5 tonnes per square metre, the trade fair centre in Munich is also in a position to present large machines.

At ITMA 2007, the international leaders in the sector will be presenting their product innovations in machine technology and processes in textile and clothing technology. In close cooperation with the Textile Machinery Division of the VDMA, Messe München's ITMA team guarantees visitors a modern and leading international event in 2007. Application to take part in this the 15th International Exhibition of Textile Machinery commenced in November 2005. The registration of ITMA exhibitors from the CEMATEX countries of Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland takes place through the respective CEMATEX associations, exhibitors from all other countries are registered directly by the organiser Messe München. The closing date for exhibitors' applications is 3 April 2006.

With its enlarged product index, ITMA 2007 gives a complete overview of the entire range of textile machinery and accessories as well as further products for the textile and clothing sector. The organisers expect ITMA 2007 to set new standards as a "PLACE FOR INNOVATION". The range of textile machinery construction comprises not just the latest machine technology but also new processes, particularly for the production of technical textiles. Today, these are employed in the automobile and electronics industry as well as in medical technology and thus in all essential areas. With a comprehensive presentation of current product innovations, ITMA in Munich is a world forum and an international showcase for the textile machinery industry.
