A fabric show, Interstoff Asia Spring, presents their apparel and fabric trends forecast for Spring/Summer 2007.
The trend themes are namely "simplicity", "reality", "exoticism" and "vacation" and are developed by trend forecasters from Elementi Moda (Milan), Here & There (New York), Global Color Research (London), Sachiko Inoue (Tokyo) and Nelly Rodi Agency (Paris).
Simplicity has been inspired by a desire for a natural and easy lifestyle, for a new purity and an elegance coming close to a certain form of romanticism, which is also influenced by the '20s and '30s and is combined by refinement with a retro-sport style.
Reality is a balanced smart-casual style of discreet luxury with masculine connotations. Inspiration comes from "film noirs", foreign countries and an atmosphere of stillness and mystery.
Exoticism is an eclectic theme evoking a feisty, erotic, exotic mood and generating playful summer attitudes, influenced by the Orient and Mexico but modulated by a personal interpretation.
Vacation is the joyful life of Caribbean settings, nature as well as vibrant and cheerful feelings serve as inspirational source.
The next edition of the show will be held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center between March 22 and 24, 2006.
