In a move to strenghten and improve China-Africa cooperation, leaders from China and African countries will meet in Beijing in autumn next year.
Sources revealed that to discuss how to improve China-Africa friendly and cooperative ties, a diplomatic source with the Chinese Foreign Ministry informed media, Tuesday.
Current trade trade volume as per official figures state that the trade between the two which stood at $1 billion in 2000 grew to over $34 billion in 2005.
Acknowledging this fact, Khalid Malik, the UN Resident Coordinator in China said evn though the growth was evident in recent years, it remained relatively small, below three percent of China's total trade volume in 2004.
He remarked that Chinese companies in Africa had vie with their Western counterparts in terms of size and competitiveness.
Another China way of developing trade was throught he granting of tariff-free treatment to 29 most underdeveloped countries
in Africa.
The China-Africa Entrepreneur Conference had arrived at an agreements that have been largely implemented and boosted cross-border trade cooperation, he added.
China's economic success could be turned into a win-win situation for Africa, Malik concluded.
