Chinese Government opposes any of Japan's limit measures over the towels China exported, stated Gao Yan, spokesperson of China Ministry of Commerce (CMC).
On April 14, 2003 Japan Government announced the fourth drawn-out investigation over towel products imported from China.
Mr. Gao indicated that currently the increment of China's towel products exported to Japan kept declining.
China's products can not pose and poses no damages to Japan's industry. So the fourth protraction does not tally with the global stream of free textile trade, said Gao.
China hopes Japan can end the investigation as soon as possible to promote Sino-Japan cooperation in trade and industry. To sustain and promote long-term and steady cooperation of the two countries, any measures which may damage Sino-Japan trades should be avoided.
