SHANGHAITEX 2006: Focus on Knitting, Printing, Dyeing & Finishing
(17 May 2006, Hong Kong) Being highly recognized as one of the largest and the most authoritative textile exhibition in Asia, The International Exhibition on Textile Industry (SHANGHAITEX 2006) will be held from July 5-8, 2006 at Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), Shanghai, P.R. China.
With over 22 successful years, SHANGHAITEX has become the leading international show for textile industry in China. At coming ShanghaiTex 2006, the main focus will be on Knitting, Printing, Dyeing & Finishing machinery. A number of exhibitors make their debut in China with innovative and latest information, technology and machineries, which all contribute to the success of SHANGHAITEX 2006 being an international platform for visitors and buyers.
Latest Machinery/Technology First Showcase in China
Over 500 international exhibitors occupies 4 exhibition halls with a total area of 50,000 sqm. They come from 18 countries and areas including: Austria, France, Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Macau, Netherlands, PR China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan Province, Singapore, Switzerland, USA and Spain.
Amongst, there are internationally renowned companies such as Satoni, Lonati, Vignoni, and Sangiacomo from Italy; Tubular and X-Rite from USA; Moenus from Germany; Shima Seiki from Japan; Steiger from Switzerland, Win Win Group from Macau, Fong's International and Gofront from Hong Kong SAR; Hangzhou Donglin and Pacific Mechatronic Group from China, and Yicheng Machinery from Taiwan Province. Organized by textile machinery associations from USA and Taiwan Province, there are also country/area pavilion. Many of these exhibitors will bring along their innovative knitting, dyeing and finishing machinery products, as well as other latest technology to the users at Eastern China.

In world textile industry, China is the biggest textile products / machines manufacturing and consumption country. According to Chinese Customs, Chinese textile machinery has reached its highest export value in 2005 with US$871 million, representing a 30.34% increase year-on-year. Chinese textile machinery industry had also created the high output value of US$469.47 billion in 2005.
Statistics all indicates that, China has become the manufacturing center of textile machinery in Asia, providing products for 130 worldwide countries, especially in Asia. After joining WTO, China becomes more competitive within the industry, and attracted international well-known enterprises enormously. Therefore, being the complete trade platform between China and global textile industry, SHANGHAITEX 2006 will definitely provide the best bridge for exhibitors and buyers to develop unlimited business opportunities.
