GERBER TECHNOLOGY APPOINTS NEW SALES MANAGER IN MAINLAND CHINA

23 May 2006 – Connecticut, USA – Gerber Technology today announced the appointment of Jeremy Kwek Ser Ming as Sales Manager, China. In this new position Jeremy will be responsible for all aspects of Gerber Technology sales and sales management in mainland China (PRC), reporting to Edmund Yip, general sales manager, Greater China. In addition to this new role, Jeremy will serve as area sales manager for Gerber Coburn, Gerber Technology’s sister company, where he will be responsible for sales and sales management in Greater China, South Korea and Mongolia.

 

Jeremy joins Gerber Technology with more than ten years experience working for Gerber, beginning in 1994 with Gerber Systems Corporation (GSC) where he was regional sales manager, Asia, responsible for sales, through agents and distributors, of plotters, automated inspection systems and CAM software to the printed circuit board industry until GSC was divested in 1998. In 1999 Jeremy joined Gerber Coburn Optical in Singapore and was most recently regional manager responsible for sales of systems, software and aftermarket supplies to the optical industry, both direct and through distributors.  Prior to joining Gerber, Jeremy worked as a business development manager for Pericom Graphics (S) Pte. Ltd., a United Kingdom-based company involved in electronics and software for imaging and filing, with customers such as Visa, HSBC and Reuters. He began his career in 1990 as a sales engineer with Systemtronics Engineering Pte. Ltd., a manufacturer and distributor of documentation systems and software.

 

Jeremy holds a degree in electronics engineering from Singapore Technical Institute and diplomas in computer studies from MTC Compucentre and Informatics Computer School. He also studied international marketing at the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. Jeremy is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Teochew.
