Overview, Programme, Venue : Having experienced all the events in 2005, we found that the demand-supply situation of polyester feedstock had been different, so as the operation pattern of polyester producers.
With competition getting hot in feedstock market, faced by increasing cost and sale pressure, what can be done by polyester producers, feedstock suppliers and traders to follow the market trend and create a win-win market in the future?
As demand from Chinese textile industry is increasing with a relatively stable rate, will there be any great fluctuation in demand for polyester product? As Chinese polyester capacity is likely to increase in a slower speed, will the average operating rate increase in polyester producers? Will the fever of investing in PTA sector, began two years ago and yet saw no signs of cooling, result in a global PX shortage? What will be the influence brought by new EG capacity?
During 2006, polyester market will continue changing. How long will it take for the Chinese textile industry to accomplish its export transition? Will the maturing textile export market bring polyester industry good opportunity?
How long will the over-supplied situation last? How should the profit be allocated within the PX/PTA/EG section, as the profit of the whole chain was under squeeze? The Third China International PX/PTA/MEG Forum is one of the polyester feedstock forums with greatest influences in China, sponsored by State Development Planning Commission, China Chemical Fibres Association and China National Chemical Fiber Corp., jointly organized by China Chemical Fiber Economic Information Network (CCFEI) and Tecnon OrbiChem, the world well-known consulting company in the petrochemical industry.
