China : Textile export grew steadily in Jiangsu, Mar-May 2006
MOFCOM reported that in March through May this year, Jiangsu's export of normal trade exceeded US$4 billion for consecutive 3 months.
In March, Jiangsu's export of normal trade reached US$4.12 billion, up by 30.7 percent compared with the same period last year.
In April, export of normal trade amounted to US$4.18 billion with a year-on-year increase of 25.1 percent.
In May, it was US$4.2 billon, up by 27.1 percent compared with the same period last year.
Textile export developed steadily, while export growth of steel, parts for telecommunication equipment and automobile parts etc reached over 40 percent, promoting the normal trade to a speedy development.
