China : Exports of clothes, textile and shoe may decline |
2006-8-4
Experts have warned that the exports of items like shoes, clothes and textiles will be at a steady rate and would not be on surge for next two years.
It is estimated that the clothes export will grow by 26.7 percent in 2006 and 17.1 percent in 2007. On the other hand, textile export is expected to grow at the rate of 18.5 percent in 2006 and 15.5 percent in 2007. Shoe export is expected to rise at the rate of 16 percent both in 2006 and 2007.
They have cautioned that the slow export growth may not avoid trade conflicts for China as it will have to cope with tough competition from developing countries.
