China : Korean apparel popular in Chengdu

Apparels from Korea are the next most popular phenomenon to Korean movies in Chengdu.

Sale of Korean apparels in the city of central China has broken all the past records and reached RMB400 million with an increase of 20 percent compared to last year sale.

Experts give full credit to Korean movies for this trend as youth of Chengdu loves to wear clothes shown in hilarious Korean movies.

Another reason attached is that Korean apparel designs are much better than Chinese ones; Korean manufacturers improve the quality and stress on brand building to capture more market share.

A piece of top-grade Korean apparel costs around RMB1000, while simple one is available at RMB200.
