China : Aokang keeps foreign partnership at bay |

Aokang Group Chairman revealed that the company had no intention of merging with any internatinal brand, altough several transnational investment groups have expressed keen interest for collaboration.
Company explained that China Shoe Leather Association has decided to create around 5 international brands within a decade and Aokang unit is very hopeful to be one of the stand alones.
Developing Innovation Council of Zhejiang province believes that if the domestic firms start to join up with the international competitions before they grow strong it will adversely affect Zhejiang industry.
However, it is not profitable to refusing foreign capital mergence blindly and so the best way is to cooperate to a certain extent with global investors.
The venture with Italy GEOX is a successful case. |
