A trade fair designed to showcase international luxury retailing 'Shanghai Trends' is currently running at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.
Exhibition has proclaimed itself to be a grand event featuring the 'coexistence of commerce and art', the first of its kind in China.
Models dressed in black dresses with different beautiful hats made of wool, velvet, straw, linen, fur, pearls, gems, as well as all kinds of feathers and even disc hats stole the show.
French designer Sylvie Laroche had brought 47 hats, some of them involving more than 140 hours to make a piece.
People can chose hats for different occasions, for the theater, a cocktail party or a wedding although some of them might not suit ordinary people's wardrobes but they have had a great impact on fashion trends.
There are other exhibitions by promising local designers Claire Fang and Wang Wei.
