China : Wuxi to be world's largest textile & garment distribution center

According to Huang Weijie President of the investment side of Shenzhen New World Group Co., Ltd, that as one of the major projects in Jiangsu Province and Wuxi city government's major construction project from 2004 to 2008, Wuxi New World International Textiles and Clothing City takes a total area of 650,000 square meters and a building area of 1.3 million square meters.

It can accommodate more than 10,000 textile and garment enterprises with their business scope to cover all aspects of textile and apparel industries.

Since the start of the project in December 2004, a textile and apparel bargaining area of 720,000 square meters has been completed. The construction area will reach one million square meters when it will officially open on March 28, 2007.

Apart from the textile and garment trading area, Wuxi New World International Textile Garment City also has an exhibition center with a construction area of 47,000 square meters, a four-star hotel and a three-star hotel, as well as research and development center, office buildings and other facilities.

Then the world's largest textile and garment trade center and the world's largest brand fineries chain center will be born in Yangtze River Delta, known as China's most dynamic economic growing region.
