China : National cotton yarn production rises 20.7% by Oct

According to the latest data by statistics center of China Textile Industry Association, national yarn output registered 152.75 million tons (for scaled enterprises) in October 2006. National total yarn output reached 13.888 million tons in January- October 2006, an increase of 20.71 percent from the same period last year.

National output of cotton fabrics reached 2.038 billion meters (for scaled enterprises). National total cotton cloth output amounted to 19.113 billion meters in January-October, an increase of 19.82 percent over the same time of prior year.
