China : How much wool does clothing contain in Dalian?

Wool clothing dealers across the Dalian city are under the scrutiny of Quality Inspection Bureau followed by complaints of deficiency of wool in clothing.

It is investigated in Dalian city that most wool clothing does not contain enough wool, and there is quality problem with some famous wool brands.

A piece of wool trousers cost between RMB100 and RMB300, while a famous brand is available around RMB1000, the highest price is over RMB2000.

Out of 5 pieces of wool clothing checked by the Bureau in Dalian city, 3 pieces are unqualified. According to standards set by the Bureau, a piece of ordinary wool trousers has to contain 45 percent wool, and a high-class one must have 90 percent wool. But, in Dalian city, wool content does not reach 45 percent and 90 percent criteria.

In Dalian city, all unqualified wool clothing is from other places because local wool clothing is inspected by local Inspection Bureau. All local wool clothing brands are qualified.

Inspection Bureau informs that good wool costs around RMB1 million a ton, a piece of wool clothes needs around RMB400 wool materials.
