China : Yarn & thread weekly review at Shengzhe & Jiaxing markets

For the just past week, at Shengzhe and Jiaxing markets, the overall market of cotton yarns posted a dull consolidation. The sales of cotton yarn J21s slightly expanded, with current price at 22100 yuan per ton; cotton yarn 32s and 40s were quoted at 18800 yuan per ton and 20500 yuan per ton, respectively.

Cotton yarn J40s was unmarketable.

Cotton/Polyester yarn 90/10 45s extended its trade volume, but the price of polyester/cotton yarn 80/20 45s lost 50 yuan per ton.

Viscose yarn market quotation appeared quiet, but real trading price reversed.

Polyester yarn 60s fell 100 yuan per ton, with current price at 17000 yuan per ton and 32s and 45s also declined 100 yuan per ton, each.

Rayon yarn 10s offered at 15700 yuan per ton. Polyester staple fiber slumped for the whole week, with average market price down to 113500 yuan per ton.
