China : Polyester filament weekly review at Shengzhe & Jiaxing markets

For the just past week, at Shengzhe and Jiaxing markets, transactions of polyester filament continued to decline, and daily trade volume reduced from the previous week.

The market trend indicated that the current main prices of DTY150D, 200D and 300D were 13300 yuan per ton, 13100 yuan per ton and 12800 yuan per ton, respectively, down 100 yuan per ton from last week.

75D/36F72F(interlaced yarn) maintained in healthy situation, demand of both warping machine and air-jet loom were increased, among which, DTY75D/72F(interlaced yarn) sold well, particularly DTY75D/36F(interlaced yarn)were more popular to warping machines, currently the market mainstream price was at 15000 yuan per ton.

DTY75D/144F100/144F?150D/144F (interlaced yarn) kept substantial sale volume.

The prices of FDY bright, 50D/24D and 36F retained firm, while FDY bright and 75D/36F fell to 13100 yuan per ton at the lowest.

POY 50D war hard to trade, POY filament for production of 75D and 100D could not find market, due to fabrics unsalable.

FDY filament 50D/48F traded at about 14400-14500 yuan per ton, with good demand from lower market of normal 290T polyester peach skin and 54D for warping machine.

63D and 68D softened, the real trading price reduced 50-100 yuan per ton, FDY75D/36F offered at 13300-13400 yuan per ton, and real trading price was at 13200-13300 yuan per ton.

FDY150D/96F trade volume shrank to present price range of 12400 - 12200 yuan per ton.

FDY dull sold well, particularly the production and demand of polyester peach skin items derived from FDY66D/48F dull increased.

(DT50D+POY50D) (DT100D+POY100D) market also developed good.

Generally speaking, manufacturers at lower chains were cautious to purchase polyester filaments on the week. It is expected that the polyester filament market will stay in a weak downtrend next week.
