China : Apparel, accessories & footwear exports up by Sichuan in Oct

Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China says that in January through Oct this year, export of apparel and footwear by Sichuan soared, which was an important factor for rapid growth in Sichuan's export.

According to statistics, export of apparel & accessories by Sichuan amounted to USD850 million in Jan through Oct, up by 1.5 times, much higher than national average of 27.3% and contributing 13.5% to provincial export growth of 42.1%.

Export of shoes amounted to USD140 million, up by 66.7% over the same period last year and higher than national average of 15.7%.
