China : France to impose green tax on textiles & footwear

In 2007, France will impose 'TaxeEmmaüs' a textile green tax which will include garment, shoe and household textile, sources inform.

This tax is imposed with an intention to recycle and reuse these products and will affect all departments and people in industry except exporters and fabric suppliers.

According to experts, this green tax will affect Chinese textile’s export.
