China : Overall PTA price quotations

Average price of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) in overseas spot market basically at US $875 per metric ton

The price of PTA in overseas spot market is generally offered at over US $880 per metric ton. The price given to polyester factories is general at $870-875 per metric ton. Inquiries from downstream polyester factories are scarce, and overall trading in spot market is dull.

PTA in East China market sold in 8200-8250 yuan per ton on December 18

In Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai spot markets, PTA was offered at more than 8250-8300 yuan per metric ton with delivery against cash payment and mostly traded in a range between 8200-8250 yuan.
